Honestly, if Jungkook was made as a game character, you can say that he is an imbalanced character.

Hello, viewers on YouTube. I’m In Ji Woong. Today I’m going to review BTS Jungkook’s dance and will share what I have felt seeing Jungkook as an idol trainer.

[0:18-0:45]

Before going into Jungkook. Last time when I did a review on Jimin and J-Hope, the two main dancers in one video, there were people who felt it uncomfortable, questioning “Isn’t this comparing the two?” Being focused on reviewing them at once since they are the two main dancers, I failed to look out for that part. If the video made you feel uncomfortable, I once again apologize.

[0:47-0:53]

From now on, I’ll make separate videos for individual members when I do review on BTS.

[0:54-0:56]

Now, let’s move on to Jungkook.

[0:57-1:04]

As an idol trainer, I can say that Jungkook is, in short, an overpowered figure.

[0:04-1:53]

BTS is the top group in Korea that has already elevated to the world class level. He has outstanding vocal skills as to be the main vocalist in that group, BTS. And he’s not only good in vocals, but he also has excellent dance skills that would enable him to be a main dancer in any other group while it is true that you have Jimin & J-Hope as the main dancers in BTS. Also, you must have all seen Jungkook’s long hair. He has the looks, charms and perfect body and he has nothing wanting. On top of that, he’s 22 years old and the youngest. He beats everyone even in terms of age. Honestly, if Jungkook was made as a game character, you can say that he is an imbalanced character (character that destructs balance). When I see Jungkook, I once again feel that god is unfair.

[1:53-2:00]

In fact, I started to grow my hair after seeing him so cool in his long hair. But the man I saw in the mirror was a totally different man. What a pity!

[2:01-2:16]

Now let’s get into Jungkook’s dance. If my student danced like Jungkook, I would have been so moved that I would’ve shed tears. Any dancer could see how much work he has put into it to be able to dance like that.

[2:16-2:43]

Jungkook’s dance is not the kind that you sweep with an insane talent. Of course, he has talents since if you are to do well in BTS, you would need it. But his dance is more of the kind that has been made by his hard work, hard work that goes beyond the talent, hard work of having danced, shedding blood, sweat and tears. Like Rock Lee In Naruto. When he dances, he discards not even one move, and dances them all, sending his power all the way to the tip of his body.

[2:44-03:00]

When you practice a lot, you get used to the choreography and you get to know well where the key points are. Then, people tend to trim off or discard the dance moves that are not the key points of the choreo. But Jungkook discards not one move. He is the kind of dancer that the choreographers just cannot help loving the most.

[3:01-3:44]

Even his dance style is a textbook itself. When a choreographer makes a choreo, s/he has this vision in his/her mind that s/he would make dancers to perform it in a certain way. Jungkook delivers the choreo exactly the way the choreographer had envisioned it. Bad dancers make arbitrary interpretation of the choreo, and trim off or discard moves, and then say “This is my style.” Jungkook dances, knowing exactly what the choreographer had intended. Mr. Sungdeuk is gonna have to be proud when he sees Jungkook dance his choreo. This is why he once said “Jungkook dances, knowing how each movement is supposed to be danced.” Because Jungkook delivers what he intended.

[3:44-4:27]

There is another thing that shows his hard work. It’s his physique. Long arms and legs, you should be born with them. But, here, take a look at Jungkook’s body. That’s not a body that has been made to show off, but that was built to dance well and powerfully. First, take a look at the thighs, the muscles that stick out from under his pants. They are skinny but has muscles that stick out exactly at the right spot. This is not a body that was made by extremely high weight workouts but by high rep workouts, repeated over a long period of time. High rep workouts are great for improving your quickness and muscle endurance. His great lower body, his quickness and his characteristic power dances were earned by his sweat and hard work.

[4:27-4:54]

If you see my videos on ITZY’s Yeji or some other people, you’ll see that I’ve said numerous times that a dancer’s upper body line depends on the lateral muscles. Look at these lats. They are insane. I mean I work out too but I’d really like to have that kind of lats. With these lat muscles, the dancer’s upper body line cannot fail to be pretty. His lats sticking out that much, and masculinity flowing out from his shoulder, with these, his dance lines cannot fail to be pretty.

[4:54-5:04]

Today, I talked about BTS Jungkook. BTS is a group of members whose dance styles all differ. That’s why people’s preference for each member’s dance might vary.

[5:04-5:42]

If you’ve fallen for Jungkook’s dance amid these diverse styles, it’s probably because of (i) his characteristic passion that never wears out after the many years of his career and that never allows any dance move to be trimmed away, (ii) his powerful dances that are built on his physique which was made with immense hard work, (iii) his exemplary attitude that cannot not but be loved by choreographers. He’s only 22 now and I cannot fathom how great an artist he would become years later. Please do not lose this passion and keep going with it and continue to show to people all over the world what an overpowered figure truly means.
